honestly don't stereotype all the students studying in UK cause not every bloody single one of them are stupid as you might imagine
heathrow is totally screwed up at the moment and doesn't matter if you are 18 or 58 or 80 you are stuck for the weekend.
if you haven't been stuck in an airport over a weekend you are in no bloody position to comment on how naive someone is acting. things are chaotic in heathrow. you are not compensated in any means which you normally are entitled to if your flight is delayed. hotels are > £300 per night and simply out of question for students.
not everyone has blankets nor a place to stay over night. ITS PRETTY MESSED UP.
not everyone can afford to pay a trip to london. imagine you have 2 suitcases weigh up to 40kg by yourself. ITS BLOODY SNOWING OUT THERE.
cabs are overbooked and stuck in m25. tubes are crowded. heathrow express is filled up with people. even if you got to london not everyone has a place to stay.
if someone were to ask me if it's justified to use tax payers' money on a chartered flight to pick them back for xmas, I'd say it's a damn stupid idea.
if someone were to make a single comment about how unable they are in terms of taking care of themselves, bite your bloody tongue and stop making smartarse comments.
go on and talk like those kids are stupid and be a keyboard warrior all you want
